i shadowed at UH through the case program over the summer. thats when i learned the most about their program. i shadowed an AA in july and he already had a student (who had started that june) working with him in the OR and taking on responsiblities (inserting IV lines, intubation, etc.) its a fantastic program. its just unfortunate that they just changed their requirements to B or higher in all your prereq classes. i know of people who were accepted before that change and they love, love, LOVE the program.
i applied to emory, south and nova. i didnt apply to case, as stated before, because i didnt want to have to retake some classes. however, i regret that now knowing approximately 50% of those who applied were accepted.
im still waiting to hear from nova but turned down at the other two.
i feel as if emory is one of the hardest to get into. from what i gather, they do it mostly by gpa. they also require the highest score on the MCAT (27). not sure if you have taken it yet or not. thats not terribly hard to attain, but i know several people that struggle with getting just that.
if you have any specific questions, just let me know.
