    Hi Dave, I too am a RT. I am looking at AA programs as well for the education as well as something new to do. It is true that there isnt much growth in the RT profession but thats because we are quite specialized as are AA's. I personally havent been squashed at all by nursing. My responsibilities include airway management, ventilator management, pulmonary function testing, stress testing, and assisting the Anesthesiologist in the OR just to name a few. I dont know what the future holds for AA's but I figure what the heck education is always a good thing. Good luck
