Re: For those who are in AA school and got into multiple ones, why did you chose that particular school?
September - December we are there twice a week, so it's equal to roughly 24 days. Most of us ended with around 50-60 cases for that time. It made it so by Jan (3rd quarter) we are comfortable in the OR, and depending on your skill/knowledge some preceptors will treat you like a 2nd year by giving you less help and expecting more. In January we alternate each week (3 times/ 2 times). It ends up with more clinical time each quarter, until 5th quarter where we have full days in clinical and less didactic. Anyway, it dosnt really matter because no one here has attended multiple programs, so everyone is biased to their own. It is future students responsibility to choose what they think will work best for them. All we can do is share experiences.
