I think that the vast majority of those pursuing careers in this field would be lying if they stated that the money and lifestyle weren't two of their most significant motives for entering the field in the first place.

Are you on a set salary that increases every X years, or are you working a lot of overtime? I'm just curious since you said you were on track to make $130k, which made it sound like there's a degree of variability in the amount of money you can make with your group.
