Re: Anyone get an invite from Emory?

This is both an encouraging and embarrassing sign. It's encouraging because it indicates that admission to at least one AA program is becoming highly competitive. It's embarrassing because it exposes the fact that Emory's AA program has never been this competitive, and so the admissions staff is severely behind with reviewing applications since they've never had to deal with this many before. They're just not used to the workload. What is especially embarrassing is that, evidently, many interviewees will have only a half-week's worth of notice or less before the day of their interview. Besides portraying the program as unprofessional in general, it suggests to those pursuing this profession that Emory runs their program as an afterthought to the medical and PA programs.
