You don't let students work extra shifts and expect them work 5 days per week -- great. That's your group. But the fact is, there ARE groups out there that will allow students to do things such as work extra shifts for days off later on during their rotation.
I think that's what makes you so ornery on here: you think your group has set the standard for work hours, clinical rotations, time off, vacations, whatever -- and when you see that there are, in fact, practices that don't conform to your standard, it makes you mad.
Honestly, all you're really doing is showing AA students why they're better off rotating/working for a different group. You'll probably just say, "We don't want people who don't have the bust-your-ass work ethic anyways," but the fact is, there are PLENTY of other groups that less diehard AA's can go work for. That sure doesn't conform to your precious standard, but guess what? You can't do a thing about it.
