From reading what people have posted on this message board, it sounds like the AA schools are more willing to overlook a low verbal score as long as you have a pretty high quantitative score. I have heard that Emory looks at the applicant's overall package and doesn't have any strict cut-offs for numbers. South, on the other hand, has a cut-off of 55% for each section on the GRE. I did really well on the verbal section but not so hot (below 50%) on the quantitative section. How was your math score if you don't mind me asking?
