There are not many AA's on the Anesthesiologist's Assistant message board, though there are a few. Most people who visit the site are applicants and some students who try to help give them application and interview advice.
Its really nice to hear you would like more AA's in your state. You can actually help facilitate this by contacting the AA programs and setting up a clinical rotation at the hospital you work at. Not many mid level positions are listed for AA's in states where there is not an AA school. By setting up a rotation at your hospital you will be able to offer positions to the students you find most desirable. You can also speak with your state's ASA local section and try to get your colleagues to set up rotations or to list positions as available to both AA's and CRNA's. This is how AA's have spread into new states in the past, by having an Anesthesiologist open up rotations and advocating for AA's in their area. I am including a link that has contact info for all the AA programs, and if you scroll down to the bottom of the page there is contact information for the AAAA which is the political organization for AA's.
Thank you for your interest,
