Don't forget -- in addition to Obamacare, there's the issue of massive CRNA graduation rates to contend with. CRNA programs can collectively graduate 4000+ new anesthetists every year for only so long before starting salaries drop, on average, to below $90k and call/OT pay becomes part of that salary (I.e., effectively rendering the pay structure for anesthetists similar to one that PAs/NPs deal with: "this is your salary, and it includes taking call one night per week").
Unless the price of tuition for AA/CRNA school drops dramatically and soon, it may no longer be a wise investment to become an anesthetist.
