Agreed with the above poster. Retaking gen chem will only help you solidify some basic concepts you will need to know for biochem, such as Hender-Hasselbach and acid/base equations, pH principles and ionization, and oxid/reduction/hydrolysis reactions. Oh, and don't forget the buffering systems.
These concepts are VERY important in anesthesia. The pharmacokinetics of drugs (how the body affects a drug) and the bodies bicarb buffering system are geared around basic chemistry concepts and you WILL see them time and time again.
