In hindsight you should have studied and taken the GRE much earlier to avoid this type of situation. It all seems very last minute without not well planned out for a career goal. Not trying to offend, but thinking of a way for you to soul search about how badly you really want to do this. I'd apply to Emory ASAP with your old scores and really work hard on your essay and be as honest as you can - they like that. There is always much more to an applicant than GRE. Also, apply to both Nova's. That is what is meant by eggs in one basket. There are ALWAYS exceptions to cut off scores, but you just have to prove your worthiness and give them something good to work with. Procrastination is not one of them, but persistence is, so you have that going. Explain that in your essay.
