Lighten up Francis. He's not signing his name that way. However, I do agree with your sentiments about the laundry list of letters that nurses LOVE to use - RN, BSN, MSN, CRNA, ARNP, ACLS, CCRN, PALS, etc. At the MOST you would use highest degree and certification. For MD's, it's simply MD. For AA's it might be MSA, AA-C. That's it. No alphabet soup. And to the AT that's posting, while I do appreciate your interest in the AA profession...one thing you should NOT refer to...there is no such thing as an MDA or DOA. That's an expression that nurse anesthetists use. The word you're looking for is anesthesiologist.
