Re: Time+money analysis of CRNA vs. AA school
Or you could "chew on this" and look to see that over the past 10 years AA practice has expanded from 2 states to 17 plus DC and can work for the federal government. That means you can work for the VA or similar organization in any state. There are AAs working for the VA in states where we don't have practice rights yet. Another thing, all the AAs that graduated from my program this past month all had multiple job offers. All of them. No one is unemployed. Its only going to get better for AAs because we like to work with anesthesiologists and not try to practice medicine without a license. And all the nurses don't hate us. Not even all the CRNAs hate us. The only ones that do the militant ones that think they're smarter than doctors and the ones that come onto our boards to spew political BS. If you are thinking about becoming an AA be very wary about CRNAs tell you what you should do. They have an agenda and are trying to keep AAs down. They also like to masquerade as working AAs on this board. Take what you hear from people like WAlein with a grain of salt.
