OK, never mind. I got rid of them using my desktop (That is is Linux, Mint 17), going into Gmail. I was able to move them into the (IMAP) Trash folder, whatever that is, then back to TRASH, and was successful at deleting them from there.

I am certain I tried that from my CB, but did not see them there. Maybe they appeared once I fooled around with them on my Tablet some more, where I then saw them in TRASH, on my PCs>>>WEIRD, but now gone, FINALLY :-)
