Books: I am currently reading a book called Alberta and Jacob by Cora Sandel. I’m reading it in Norwegian, but it has been translated to English and other languages. I was published in 1926 and it’s about a girl who lives far up North in Norway in a society family that despite being higher class struggles with money. Her brother Jacob who doesn’t care about school is being prioritised over Alberta who does nothing but help in the home. It’s definitely an important book in women’s literature.
