BTW I actually disagree about the easier to warm up than cool down thing. I think it depends on the person and I generally find it easier to cool down.
I know I've just said I found 16 hot, but I tend to adjust quickly to hot weather (I've travelled in both north Africa and the Middle East in the summer months, as well as visited florida a fair bit so I have had a decent amount of non British exposure to what I'm like in hot temperatures).
If I get chilled I can find it very very difficult to warm up again, even with hot water bottles, layers, blankets, hot drinks, etc. People love to say just put on another layer when it's cold but I often spend the winter months already wearing so many layers it's impractical.
Recently, when putting on a jumper (sweatshirt) to go to bed even though I didn't think I'd need it, I realised I am more scared of becoming too cold than too hot. I find hot uncomfortable, but cold painful. I'd rather wake up cause I'm too hot and remove the jumper, than wake up cause I'm too cold at which point I know it would be difficult for me to get warm again
