I wonder what people are reading? Spanky or non-spanky!

I just started a book called "Becoming Crone" which is part of a series called "The Crone Wars". I think what got me interested in this book is that it is a fantasy book where the protagonist is a 60-year-old woman!
I have realised lately that I have reached an age where most characters in fantasy are younger than me, and it made me think "Ah, that really sucks! I would want to be adventurous my whole life. Why can't crazy things happen to older people too?" And I also remember someone commented on how women are always taken out of action franchises whenever they "get too old", which is not old at all! And it made me want to explore the fantasy genre through the eyes of older characters! I really hope this book is good! I need it to be.
