It's true that Trump is symptom, not a cause. I do realize that so many people feel disenfranchised and unheard, and they believe that Trump speaks for them. (I don't understand how they can NOT see that all he cares about is Donald J. Trump, but guess that's beside the point.)

If the documentary will help me feel the shared humanity between us, then I will gladly watch it. However I fear that some of what Fizzy once told me is true: For some things to change, we just have to wait till the old guys die off.

I think that's true for some issues -- the worst of prejudice and out-dated thinking about race and sexuality only began to change when younger people replaced those with fixed mindsets.
