I've been watching Gardener's World on YouTube, because I love Monty Don and quite enjoy gardening too. Recently he planted both tayberries and loganberries. Because his explanation of both sounded similar to me I had to Google it. And the definition still confuses me!

"As nouns the difference between loganberry and tayberry is that loganberry is a hybrid berry, produced by crossing a raspberry with a blackberry, considered a species while tayberry is a cultivated shrub of the genus, a cross between the blackberry (r fruiticosus]]'') and raspberry (''[[rubus idaeus|r idaeus )."

Can anyone who knows the difference explain it to me? Are they saying the tayberry is a cross of two specific cultivars? So a tayberry is a type of loganberry, but not all loganberries are tayberries?
