Dear John, I apologize for my lateness in responding. Maybe I could offer a little help. In the years that we've had the Message Board & Website, I've heard from several people that thought their parents / grandparents may have arrived at Angel Guardian as babies.

Mary Beth was correct, Angel Guardian did not accept babies that young, however, a lot of babies came to A.G.O. from St.Vincents aka Catholic Charities.

So if you do contact the Archdiocese, please mention that St. Vincent's may be a possibility. St. Vincents was a home for unwed mothers. Either her parents didn't approve or they already had enough children and couldn't afford to have another baby.

After a certain age, they would put them up for adoption or put them in an Orphanage
