A Little Reminiscing!!!!
I was just out on my lunch break and as I came back to the day care center John Willams was playing Tony Bennett singing “Autumn Leaves” on WGN Radio!!!
And I thought back of why I like that song sooo much, and that is because of a certain High school senior at the time, Ms. Jean Copeland Ritchey!!!
Jean could play “Autumn Leaves”, on the piano, like she belonged in a Ferrante and Tiecher Orchestra!!!!!
It was spectacular everytime she played it!!!! There were a few other pieces that Jean could play too like “Moon River”, and “No Man is an Island”
I just loved sitting there listening forever and I wish that I had stayed longer …..just listening!!!! It was beautiful melodious sounds coming from that piano in Cottage 70!!!
Wish I was there now!!!! Actually, I think I’ve been there for about the last few minutes as I typed this!!!! Uh oh….heads are popping up here…nap time is over!!!! Reality….I’m back!!!
