Honestly, after retiring from the PD the only time I even passed through Brooklyn was on my way to Ravens games. I do not recall ever seeing a Rickel's. It would be hard to imagine a "home improvement" store going in there with Home Depot and Lowe's within such close proximity. But I could be mistaken.

My earliest recollection was Cook's, but I'm sure the first tenant was something else.

So we must draw upon our "native Brooklynites" to search their collective memories and figure out when the building was erected and what store went in first.
