I knew Dale Thomas almost his whole career as well as well as when he was with the sheriffs department. We were good friends, played softball together a number of years. One of his last assignments was when I was a lieutenant at southern he and Don Rowland were the sergeants we had a great shift and continued to get together for years after retirement. He was at the last retiree dinner and I knew he was dealing with several health issues thoughts and prayers to his family during this time.
