I had the privilege of knowing Keith since he joined the Department in the 1980s. I was one of his Field Training Officers, and we later worked together on the same shift in the Eastern District.
Keith was an outstanding police officer who truly loved his job. He approached police work with enthusiasm and a positive attitude, always showing compassion to the people he served. Keith consistently went above and beyond in carrying out his duties.
Later in our careers, Keith and I served as EVOC instructors at the Academy. He was deeply committed to helping recruit officers succeed and was always willing to put in extra effort to ensure they received the best training possible.
Keith was also simply a joy to be around. He had a wonderful sense of humor, loved playing practical jokes on his coworkers, and was just as willing to laugh when the joke was on him.
Keith will be remembered not only for his dedication to the Department and to the community, but also for the kindness, humor, and friendship he shared with all who knew him.
The family has asked that anyone who has photographs of Keith and would be willing to share them please do so. To protect the family’s privacy, please send an email to boardhost.250radio@gmail.com, and the appropriate contact information will be provided.
