My South Dakota carry permit expires in November and I will soon need to renew it. Renewal here is simple...a short form to fill out and the card arrives in a week or so...free of charge. But we have constitutional carry, so it's not really necessary. I only do it because I travel across the country each year. I do avoid those states, like MD,NY,and NJ with strict gun laws, because I doubt if they would recognize permits from other states.
