I think its proposed wall is a great idea. By the looks of things, it has stirred up a hornet’s nest. The cost of the project is high. As the number of retirees grows….eventually the shear size of the wall will blot out headquarters. Why not just do a ground pad on a slab of concrete with bricks cemented in place. A marble headstone displaying a badge and short note.
The monument in Linthicum is well done. I’ve seen some pathways at some parks with some bricks denoting contributing families. One has the name of the Koenig family. Could be someone we know. Might be a lot cheaper and room for all. Smaller bricks. A bench maybe. And headquarters still visible. All bees…return to the nest.
