Re: Lt. John Robert Jaschik #402

I first met Bob and Earl Folkes when we all worked Uniform Shift#4. They worked Northern District and I was in Central District. We didn't work together but did cross paths. Didn't really get to know Bob and Earl until I was transferred to CID Property. I immediately knew those two were going to be great to work with. I did not want to be transferred, and I had an attitude which upon their association quickly changed. Bob was great to work with he shared any and all information that he had, He helped me when I needed help, passed on his knowledge to me. He and Earl made coming to work a pleasure, fun and exciting. The things that we did in Property. Later after being transferred to CID Persons/Robbery and Bob a supervisor there it was great working with and for him. He never had you do anything that he would not do. He encouraged you to always do your best and never stop trying and never give up. Later after retirement Bob joined us in the Crime Analysis Unit and was a wonderful asset. He had not changed a bit. Fun to work with, smart, outgoing, personable and I am overly grateful that I can call him my friend. The World will be missing a wonderful person. My prayers and thoughts go out to Gloria and all the Jaschik family. God Bless You All!
