It is truly heartbreaking to see another one of our brothers leave us far too soon. I have many memories of Bob from the years we served together in the Department. He was someone you could always count on—no matter the circumstance, he would step up and do whatever he could to help.

Looking back, one of the things that stands out most is that I rarely, if ever, saw him angry. He carried himself with a steady, positive presence that made a difference to those around him.

I know many of you have your own memories of time spent working alongside Bob. I encourage you to take a moment to reflect and be grateful for the opportunity to have known and served with such a dedicated officer and a true friend to us all.

My heartfelt condolences go out to Gloria and the entire Jaschik family during this difficult time.
