I totally agree. Best job I ever had. Not always the safest job job however. Many hospital trips for one thing or another. Mostly departmentals. Jumping off walls, breaking my toes. Got suck in the mud. Gun in swivel holster stuck in the mud. Then thinking I actually lost the damn thing. It was layng on seat. Spinning a nightstick till I totally nearly neutered myself. Then the pr-24. Becoming an arm rest. Spinning that took out an elbow or two.
Comraderie was the key. Walt, our street fights were intense but fun. My right knee from hitting the sidewalk is still an issue. But what fun.
