I had AFIB for over 12 years which medication was able to control. When medication stopped working 15 months ago I had an ablation. The cardiologist said I bought myself a lot of valuable time because I qualified for the latest and greatest procedure...impulse cauterization. Older procedures like heat and cyrogenic cauterizations worked but were not always as effective and created some undesirableside effects. Since my procedure I've had two 2 week stints with a heart monitor and all is well. Hopefully John you're procedure works just as well. Good luck going forward.
