Jack McCloy and I were at Friendship Airport one night when he was on Northern Overlap and I was a Cadet. Had to be around 1973-74.

We were invited into a DC-3 (C-47) that was parked near a runway. The pilot was showing us all the controls and equipment when a BIG jet decided to take off.

The wake from the jet pushed another, unoccupied, aircraft right into the DC-3. We watched it from the cockpit but couldn't do a damn thing.

After it crunched the DC-3, I asked Jack what we should do.

His answer? Get the hell outta here before any investigators show up.
