After 30 years of service and 25 years in retirement (and still trudging along,), I would like to thank all the truly great men and women officers that crossed my path. Who can deny that we all, met some truly fine women,….Owsley, Hess, Klinger, (May they rest in peace). Those women still with us, Robey, Kolhepp, Welch, Williams, (there’s more). The men, Tucker, “Spike” Miller, Rushe, Wengert, (who entertained us with his take on the English language.) Ice and frozen water. Radical Tires, my favorite 2-5-0 to two fifty, when he would call himself on the radio.
So, I’m glad I chose AA County Police over the State Police and the dangerous job with the phone company. Just think, climbing telephone poles is dangerous. Cold and wet. Thanks to all.
