For those who weren’t at the retirees Christmas dinner last night, Obie announced that there’s a bill being introduced in the County Council that will extend the Public Safety Tax Credit from a 10-year maximum to a 25-year max. It is being introduced by council persons Pete Smith and Shannon Leadbetter. It is Bill # 96-25 and has a hearing on January 5, 2026. He asked that we reach out to the council members and ask them for support in passing this bill. I have already sent mine. Who doesn’t want extra money?
