Okay, did some digging. In addition to the one behind the Cromwell Shopping Center, there was a small plane crash at Lipins Corner (Mt. Rd near Sun Valley) in August 1930. Pilot survived, 2 passengers killed. That is the closest to the Wishing Rock I could find. But, in Green Haven in July of 1953 2 planes collided. One fell into woods near High Point school and the 2 bodies were pretty much in pieces. The other plane, a military B25 was damaged and managed to make it almost to Friendship airport, landing into a house on Hollins Ferry Road. No one in house injured and the plane crew walked away okay. The other I mentioned on Dorsey Road was March of 1953. It was an Air Force plane and all 3 occupants were killed. Now you have more than you probably ever thought you would have.
