Same here Walt. I just turned 79. My great grandson just turned one, 30 minutes before my birthday. He just couldn’t wait I guess. It was a blast working with you in Brooklyn. We got into some shit and sometimes came out smelling like IT. Brooklyn hasn’t changed much. As the streets, alleys, scumbags go anyway. Just the clientele halve evolved into Spanish-speaking scumbags. Cops nowadays have to use translators by phone to politely tell them where to go for free benefits. Worked with a lot of great officers, guys and girls in every post in Northern District. Wouldn’t have missed it for the world. And BTW, we sometimes came out smelling like a rose! As the “roller coaster” comes to a stop, we get ready to get off. Thanks to everyone who crossed my path and made this job the best I ever had. Beats driving a garbage truck. But we all took out a lot of trash. One car at a time. Went bowling today. Beat my average in both games. No, not getting better…just lucky.
