Hi Bill,I've had an emergency generator for about ten years, got it from BGE Home now Constellation, it runs my entire home. The automatic transfer switch is a must, the gen comes on seconds after a power interruption. I also recommend a Protection Plan that includes an annual checkup and oil change. The installation will trigger a visit from a County inspector to insure it is connected properly.
