Zeke, you are 100% correct, I loved them. They were affectionately called the "Harley Death Burger". They were cooked in a tomato like stew and kept soaking for hours prior to serving. they were served on a sub roll with the delicious sauce dripping all over the place. Harleys was in Brooklyn next to the Bojangles night club. Loved 12-8 shift on a tuesday night, it was ladies night, I would do a bar check and "peruse" the sights then treat myself to a death burger and fight the heartburn the rest of the night. They were the days. The guys working Brookly back then was "quick with the stick Beck", my partner. Davis and Bousch. Tommy Sell and Melvin Marsh, Ray Thrift and John Scheufel. Christ, the stories we could tell. Loads of fun and we got paid for it. LMAO
