Just watched on the local news where this guy in a U-Haul was riding around recklessly hitting parked cars etc. State police chased it on 450 but discontinued because he didn't want to stop. Long story short when he finally was stopped they found a woman in the back that had been abducted from a mini mart, cut up and sexually assaulted. It goes to show that if someone is running from police there may be a good reason and if the situation warrants it should be pursued to the end. I get all the civil suit implications and with the policeman`s bill of rights being revoked. But maybe if they could but a device on a cruiser that could warn people that a dangerous situation was coming their way and people would have the common sense to know that it meant to move to safety and not get your cell phone camera ready. Wait, I think there is one out there. Lets use it and not turn it off till the offender is stopped. It`ll be interesting if this woman files a law suit for the police putting her in danger for not acting. Granted you can only act on the facts you have at hand but you can hope for the best as long as you prepare for the worst.
