I am stable, going out for dialysis three days a week, four hours a day. That keeps me alive, but it is very debilitating. If I skip more than a couple of days, the nephrologist says the poisons will build back up and the results will be fatal. The county provides bus transport door to door, except on holidays. Dialysis sucks! I am constantly tired, and the muscles in my body constantly ache from all the fluid they remove! Marga has had to try to maintain all the work around the house, with occasional help from my son. My two daughters live out of state, so they cannot offer much help. I hate feeling like a semi-invalid! But, I am progressing, and hopefully I will recover enough to get off the machine!
All your prayers and well wishes have meant a lot to me! I believe it helped me pull through the worst of this illness!
I will be having more surgeries. The nephrologist wants to place a fistula in my arm to make dialysis more efficient. Your continued prayers are deeply appreciated!
