Re: EVICORE IS BACK
Zeke: Personnel is correct. Our insurance does not require prior approval for an MRI. I have had three in the past couple of years while insured with Aetna with one being this year for surgery on my back and none have been denied. My doctors either give me a work order for the MRI and I schedule the appointment or the doctor schedules it for me. My doctors and the imaging centers do not ask for prior approval from Aetna. In our benefits booklet there are only a few benefits that may require prior approval: Medicare Covered Dental, Physical Therapy Services, Skilled Nursing Facility Care, Diabetic Supplies, Durable Medical Equipment/Prosthetic Devices, Chiropractic Services, Outpatient Dialysis Treatments, Radiation Therapy, and Wigs. Wishing you well with your back problems. Just had my third fusion on my back. Finally able to walk again after being down for the last six months.
