Unless there are any other modelers' clubs that I'm unaware of, the Society of Miniature Ship Collectors (SMSC) is the only one.

The SMSC's membership list currently stands at 234 model collectors, dealers, producers, and enthusiasts from around the world, and is open to anyone wishing to join. SMSC was founded in 2008 and held national meetings at least once a year until 2018. After a long hiatus due to COVID and other changes affecting the hobby in general, we are beginning to reorganize and hope to have a functioning governing board and officers elected by the first of the new year.

Future SMSC meetings will probably be more regionally based, such as the regularly occurring Northern California collectors meetings (next one on October 17), last year's Mystic Seaport (New England), and the most recent Arlington VA meeting, which involved collectors mainly from the DC/Virginia/Maryland area. Individual SMSC members also hold their own meetings and open houses on occasion, as I have. If you live in the New England area, feel free to email me directly for more info on our local SMSC chapter (neslo1250@gmail.com).
