There are some exciting new additions to John’s Shipyard catalogue. These resin models (to 1/1200) scale are very detailed, cover mainly WW2 era ships of the warring nations, from minesweepers to battleships.
Recent additions include (all RN/RCN) Queen Emma LSI, Princes Henry LSI, Prince David AMC, Prince Robert AA ship. (And a lot of RN 'C' class cruisers). Also, an extensive range of RN destroyers.
Very highly recommended. Very reasonably priced.
So (from me) - John Laing: a long-term wargamer/ modelmaker, now 'retired' living in the East Midlands of the UK. (If you've ever travelled by train from London to York, you've passed within 100yds of his house). He has embraced 3D printing in a big way and now has an extensive range available to order.
John is rather 'strict' on production: he has a monthly 'cut-off' day for orders, the models are then produced and are given a good time to cure. They come to me for despatch a couple of weeks later.
The important things - a list (& prices): look on https://www.photrek.co.uk/?page_id=84 (scroll down) and you will get a (hopefully) full list and some 'guideline' prices. I can supply lists and sets of notes on 'new releases' - email to me tim@photrek.co.uk Prices: cruisers in the USD13.00 to USD20.00 range, DDs are approx USD10.00
'We' mail anywhere - knowing how the post can be, packages are usually sent tracked. We (I) are very much aware of the problems in posting to the US & some other countries - our hope is to offer a 'quality' service, within limits.
I do recommend the range - another example of a small 'hobby' producer of well-researched models.
Initially, enquiries to me, please - Tim Hudson using tim@photrek.co.uk
