Allentown's 45 minutes away, Mechanicsburg? Gettysburg about 2 1/2 hours. But for a show or get together - doable. Previous Message
I know there are collectors in Allentown, Mechanicsburg and Gettysburg, but these places may be too far for you as well. Pensy's quite a large state, at least by New England standards!

I would love to attend, but my back won't let me travel that distance. I live outside Philly.
Part of my reason for returning to 1/1200 is that 1/96 is REALLY taking a toll on my back. Previous Message
A group of collectors here in the Northeast is working on one for 2026 at Mystic Seaport Museum, timed to coincide with the opening of their new ship model wing. Peter Gottschalk is our liaison with the Museum and will keep us informed of developments as they occur.
In the meantime, we're trying to keep the collecting flame alive here on the East Coast with occasional local meetings at our collectors' homes organized by email and word of mouth. I've hosted several over the last few years as have others, and we plan to continue. Next one at my place will be in late April or early May. Stay tuned for more details.
My apologies to the collecting community for my absence from the MB over the past few years. Until recently, work responsibilities have prevented me from playing the part I once did in organizing these events. However, my recent retirement has allowed me the time to become a more active participant again instead of an occasional observer. Anyone wishing to attend or help organize future collectors' activities on the East Coast may email me at neslo1250@gmail.com. Previous Message

Please join us to view 1/1250 ship models and discuss building and collecting. The meeting will be at the house of Tom Vargas in Fremont, CA.
Bring any of your ship models to show, trade or sell. Tom has a great selection
of dioramas and a large collection of 1250 models for viewing.
Tyler Devine of TenTwenty3D will bring 3d prints of Thetis Bay LPH-6, Monitor
LSV-5 and possibly the Hancock 1955 straight deck. If you want to order these
or other items for delivery at the meeting, email Tyler at contact@tentwenty3d.com. Models from Yestertoys are also on hand or available for reprint.
