I'm not sure how many of you know this, but Fred Dorris passed away on October 27, 2024. Fred wrote the book, Ship Models For The Military. Although, we never met in person, we had a long running correspondence that lasted twenty years. We traded information, models and our life's stories.Fred was a wonderful person and helped me immensely,sharing a wealth of info on WWII ID models and fabricating parts and models for me. He was a veteran serving in a submarine during the last years of WWII. He will be sorely missed.
