The Great White Fleet consisted of 16 U.S. battleships that circumnavigated the globe between 1907 to 1909 by order of President Theodore Roosevelt.

In 2008 I was asked by Don Preul (Annapolis) if I could round up 1:1250 models for a Great White Fleet Centennial Exhibit at the U.S. Naval Academy. Rudy immediately donated the models; I added were two.
