We are safe here in Fremont as well. The heavy rains caused a landslide in Niles Canyon which closed Road 84 between Niles and Sunol. But no personal injuries. Thanks for your concern. ![]() Here in the SF Bay area we had torrential rain yesterday for about 12 hours, with frequent intermittent breaks of half a minute to two minutes. These fierce squalls were accompanied by high winds. This storm, which followed a similar one ten days ago that had gusts of wind over 100 mph, was like nothing else I have seen In the 55 years I have lived here, or since I got caught in Hurricane Betsy in NOLA back in 1965. The term “atmospheric river” is relatively recent here, and apt. We got a river dumped on us. But we made it through ok. ![]() Hope all Californian collectors are safe. |
