By far and away the most surprising new entrant into the field of 1250 models in 2023 was SS Models. 2024 brings different news so far.

Not sure others have noticed, but 1250 SS Models have totally disappeared from ebay since January ended. And the largest dealer of them, lixil_1, is absent as well. Not just their ship models in 1250, but SS Models entire inventory of ships in the various scales, aircraft, military vehicles and tanks, and weapons/systems. They are all gone (except for a small handful of tanks).

Have had three 1250 models on order since November 15. Three weeks ago, I received none of my ordered models, but a small mailing of never ordered 1/1200 etched ship’s ladders. Upon complaining of having waited two months, and then getting only the erroneous ladders, this was the response from the dealer: “we apologize for the backlog of orders due to our severe lack of productivity at this time”. No response to recent queries.

There has been a severe lack of transparency here. SS Models have been listed as "available" but were often not. Now all SS Models, in all scales, are off ebay.

Have no thought that this is/was an elaborate scam. Something else is going on. Perhaps as simple as the lack of productivity, for whatever reason (machines breaking? resin shortage? workers?), mentioned by the seller. Whether this is a short term blip or a larger problem for the brand is unknown to me.
