In addition to my 1250 collection, I also have assembled 23 Navy Hats. Except for 1, these are all from ships that I have visited. The lone exception is the FDR-but I got that hat at the FDR Library in Hyde Park. I was missing the hat for the USS INTREPID. Bill Werner was so kind to send me that one.
During several of my Vietnam visits in Hanoi, I found an antique store that was selling these ship models made out of mother of pearl. They are very delicate. The store did a great job packing them for the long journey to the US.
