Sample page from the Fred Dorris book: https://photos.app.goo.gl/8wreG6XX8XzGSMAB8 Ship Models Go To War: https://photos.app.goo.gl/En9YzhpVsrvT27VC8 Article by Fred Dorris: https://1250scale.com/1250MilitaryDorris.htm ![]() Stephen, find the book Ship Models for the Military by Fred Dorris. There are charts with full listings of each case. Also there is plenty of information on other manufactuers. -Rich- ![]() Does anyone have, or know a source for, an authoritative listing of what models were included in the various case sets of US Navy WW2 ship recognition models (in 1/1200 and 1/500 scale)? I know the main makers were Comet, Framburg, and South Salem but have never seen any listings of which models were put into which cases. I also have never seen a listing of the cases. Framburg did put clear labels on their cases which specified "DEVICE NUMBER", "SERIAL NUMBER", and the set name (e.g., "BRITISH MINIATURE SHIP MODELS"). |
