The only "rouge Exacto knife" I have experienced is when I slip and cut myself. :-)
On the blocks are two Russian battleships, bought on eBay from a nice Canadian fella who prints ships from WJT.com, WJTStore. WWI and earlier, with a great selection and unbeatable pricing. You'll have to scratch topmasts and some masts, and may want to replace the boats, but if you are going for numbers (as I am), you can't beat them If you're going for high quality models (I do occasionally as a challenge), SSModel is great. I'm wrestling with the USS North Dakota, a wonderful little kit, but am currently stuck on repairing both cage masts, one broken on arrival and one broken by a rouge Exacto knife. Not for the faint of heart or for people who still have hair to pull out.
Just thought I'd throw this out there.
